Wow, this is brilliant! I presume that this version is one of the song versions he scrapped for being "too New Wave" during the recording of Get Happy.

Very different from the album get happy, it´s faster here. Where do you get these stuff, Motel Matches? Guess not even Elvis has it.

This version is actually SLOWER than the original. The intensity & the strumming of the guitar chords might make it appear faster, but the original, with its syncopated bass line (which really propelled the song) was almost twice as fast.

And I trust you'll collect all of the new performances on TV that are sure to happen in the coming weeks with new CD? I am out of the media loop. Lucky if I get an hour of TV for Spectacle. Now I would like to have allof those shows on DVD....

Thanks very much. Unfortunately, there's no "Sleep of the Just" in the boxes of VHS tapes I'm slowly sifting through. However, your enthusiasm has inspired me to turn off my computer, turn the lights low, and play King of America from beginning to end.
